Project Overview

The purpose of this project is to design and build a stand that will help enhance the music quality for loudspeakers. Loudspeaker stands range in different prices, and can end up very expensive. The goal is to design stands that will be low cost and simple for people at home to build themselves or to purchase. Test will be conducted to see how efficient the low cost speaker stands are. The testing will include vibration test, frequency test, and listening test. The vibration test will allow the team to see how vibration effects a speakers sound quality. The frequency test will show the frequency of the sound that comes from the loudspeaker stands. During the listening test, there will be an audience that will see where they prefer their speakers, on or off the speaker stands. This test will also show where the appropriate height of the stand will be. The team became interested in this project because there is a love for music amongst each person and two of the members hope that this project will help them become aware of what their future jobs will entail.
